CSC Alumni Update Graduating 2005
MATT MCMAHAN (Freshman at Oklahoma City University; Woodland Park HS) will be attending Oklahoma City University as a freshman studying vocal performance. Matt was the recipient of numerous scholarships at OCU and is excited for his first year. Matt would like to acquire his equity card throughout his four years of college and after completion of his BA, plans to move to New York City to tackle the “Great White Way.” RICKY FANNING (Freshman at Musician’s Institute; Woodland Park HS) will be attending the Musician’s Institute in LA in the fall to study guitar.
Graduating 2004
NISA ARI (Sophomore at Stanford University; Palmer HS) is pursuing an art history major with a music minor in vocal performance from Stanford University. Nisa was a music, theater, piano, and jazz student at the Conservatory and was student body president at Palmer HS. She was accepted into the Stanford Shakespeare Society and had principle roles in “The Comedy of Errors” and “Twelfth Night,” and stage managed “Hamlet.” Nisa also participated in the Original Winter One-Acts and the play “I Think I Like Girls.”
GORDON ALLAN (Sophomore at Boston University; Palmer HS) was a member of the Palmer Swim Team and studied bass primarily while a student at CSC in the Advanced Jazz Combo. He is currently an environmental law major at Boston University.
TRIPP FOUNTAIN (Sophomore at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts; Lewis-Palmer HS) is a sophomore at NYU Tisch studying drama. Tripp studied voice, composition, and theater at the Conservatory. After graduating from NYU he plans to stay in New York and work in the arts.
JAKE KLOCK (Sophomore at University of Southern Colorado; Pueblo South HS), studied violin at CSC and was a member of the Pueblo Youth Symphony.
KATIE KITA (Theater candidate at American Academy of Dramatic Arts; Woodland Park HS) Katie, both a music and theater student at the Conservatory, has been invited back to AADA to continue her theater studies after her first year. She was heavily involved in the drama department at Woodland Park HS and received many acting awards. She would like to work in the theater in as many ways as possible, including production design as well as performance. NICOLE BURBRIDGE (Sophomore at University of Northern Colorado; Fountain-Ft. Carson HS) is a music education major at UNC in Greeley, CO but would like to pursue a degree in vocal performance soon by auditioning for some conservatories in the fall as well as becoming involved in the opera productions at UNC. Nicole was very active in high school, participating in softball, swimming, Trojanaires, drama, National Honor Society, and International Thespian Society. She was the valedictorian of her class and graduated with a 4.03 GPA. After graduating she will either continue vocal performance with a master’s degree or join the Air Force as an officer and also try to join the traveling group "Tops in Blue." She would like to eventually teach music at the college level.

MARCIE FANNING (Sophomore at Lawrence University; Woodland Park HS) After returning to Colorado for a year to continue her music studies at the Conservatory, Marcie will be venturing to Lawrence University to complete a degree in vocal performance. Marcie received multiple scholarships from Lawrence Conservatory and Lawrence University to study at their facilities. She won numerous theater and music awards while attending Woodland Park HS in addition to receiving an Arts Recognition and Talent Search Merit Award in 2003. She plans on becoming a successful performer (of the stage, screen, or television) and living in NYC or LA. We wish her luck at her new school.
AARON BUECHTER (Musicians Institute 2004; St. Mary’s HS) Guitarist Aaron Buechter is a member of the band Forever In Fall that will be going on a second west-coast tour in September. TIFFANY BRASWELL (Junior at UCCS; Rampart HS) is currently studying music education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
BRIAN DANIN (Junior at the University of British Columbia; Palmer HS) is attending school in Canada where he is concentrating in film and the visual arts. AMANDA HARVEY (Senior at New England Conservatory; Cheyenne Mountain HS) is a vocal performance major at the New England Conservatory in Boston. Following graduation this May she plans to move to Germany to study political science.
JULIE SILVER (Senior at Lawrence University; The Colorado Springs School) Julie is currently working toward completing a double degree in Vocal Performance and Theater Performance/Technical at Lawrence University. She has sang the role of the Mother in “Hansel and Gretel” by Humperdink, participated in the chorus of “The Secret Garden,” and played Louella May Creevey in “First Lady” by George S. Kauffman, while simultaneously holding the position of Props Master at LU. This year she wrote a play entitled “…negro pero cariñoso…” that was fully produced and staged. Julie has also received the F.T. Cloak Award for her work in the theater on and off stage. She hopes to remain involved in the theater. CARMEN MOCK (Performing Arts/ Musical Theater degree, American Musical and Dramatic Academy 2004; Palmer HS) After completing her studies at AMDA, Carmen landed principle roles in the 1st National Tour of “Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story” and the Actors Equity Association production of the same show at the West Virginia Public Theater. She currently resides in New York City and is focusing on a career in the theater.
EMILY AMUNDSON (Senior at CU Boulder; Cheyenne Mountain HS). After a year of study in Sweden, Emily currently studies at CU Boulder.
BRIAN HARRIS (Senior at Colorado College; Woodland Park HS) has transferred from USC San Diego to Colorado College where he is studying with Martile Rowland and majoring in Music.
LINDZEY MARTUCCI (Theater degree, American Academy of Dramatic Arts LA 2004; Palmer HS 1999) Since graduating from AADA, Lindzey, a voice, theater, and dance student at the Conservatory has been extremely involved in the LA performing arts scene. She works as an assistant at TalentWorks talent agency, whose clients include Farrah Fawcett, Ashanti, and Scott Baio to name a few. She is dancing with a Nike sponsored dance company called Nike Rockstar “Tribe” that is directed by the creator of Cardio strip tease, Jeff Costa. She is also dancing with a b-girl (breaking, popping, hip hop) crew called the Dolly Rockers that dances and competes in different hip hop events throughout southern California. In addition to dancing in these companies she is still background dancing for the up and coming artist Becky B who is signed to Warner Brothers. Last, but not least, Lindzey has joined a sketch comedy group “Beer is not for Breakfast,” a show that appears weekly at the Comedy Central stage and has started her own, independent stand-up career.

BRIDGETTE SHAULIS (Performance degree, American Musical and Dramatic Academy 2004; Palmer HS) Bridgette received an academic scholarship to AMDA and was on the dean’s list every year at school. In her final year of study she was one of five in her entire class to be selected to perform at the “final demonstration” before graduation. Bridgette has remained in Manhattan and wants to perform in NY or on tour, but would also love to go back to school for Child Psychology.
GRADUATING 2001
MIM ARI (graduated magna cum laude in Psychology, Georgetown University 2005; Palmer HS) Mim has remained in Washington D.C. after graduating magna cum laude from Georgetown in Psychology and receiving the Sebastian Brennikmeijer Medal in Psychology that is awarded by the Psychology department in recognition of uncommon accomplishment by an undergraduate major. She is currently a research assistant/lab manager in the Cognitive Aging Lab at Georgetown, but will be working at the National Institute of Health (NIH) as a research assistant in a lab that studies Turner's syndrome starting in September. Mim plans on beginning medical school in 2006 to study to become a neurologist.
BOBBI JO BUNCH (University of Oklahoma 2005; Rampart HS) attended the University of Oklahoma at Norman with an emphasis in stage management. Bobbi Jo was hired at Central City Opera through the summer of 2003 as an Assistant Stage Manager.
SHELLEY DEXTER (Vocal Performance degree from Oklahoma City University 2005; Woodland Park HS) This summer Shelley is studying with the Artistic Repertory Theater in Orlando and will be going to Austria for the University of Miami in Salzburg, Austria program to study opera.
IAN FERGUSON (University of Northern Colorado 2005; Wasson HS) Ian studied trumpet, jazz, and composition at UNC at Greeley. Ian taught Jazz Improv at CSC during the summer of 2003.
WHITNEY HAHN (finishing communications degree at New School University; degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design 2005; Liberty High School) Whitney is currently finishing her studies at the New School while simultaneously pursuing an internship at Vogue. Her ultimate goal is to work as a stylist at Vogue while freelance designing.
REBECCA HOERL (BM in Music from University of the Pacific; Cheyenne Mountain HS) has completed her degree in vocal performance at University of the Pacific.
GENEVIEVE LOPEZ (Songwriting degree, Berklee College of Music 2005; Palmer HS) After graduating this year from Berklee with a songwriting degree, Genevieve will be moving to L.A. in the fall to begin her musical career. She is currently in the final stages of recording an album which will be released shortly. Genevieve was awarded the 2005 SESAC Award for Songwriting.
GRADUATING 2000
KIM HARRISON (University of Oklahoma 2003; Fowler HS) has completed her studies with an early graduation from University of Oklahoma at Norman with an emphasis in stage management. Kim spent most of the summer of 2003 doing ASM for the vaudeville theater in London. She relocated to NYC in the fall of 2004.
HOLLY MYERS (History degree, University of Colorado 2003; Rampart HS) Holly majored in history with a concentration in the Holocaust from the University of Colorado. Currently, she works at a law firm in attorney recruiting and development in NYC, but still has a focus on the performing arts as she has been auditioning regularly and writing stories (two of which have the potential to be turned into film scripts.) Holly would like to eventually go to graduate school to get a masters in History for writing purposes. She plans to keep pursuing acting and writing as they fulfill her needs for the arts.
AMBER BALLARD (Oklahoma City University 2004; Air Academy HS) has completed her degree in Vocal Performance from Oklahoma City University. She has returned to the Springs where she is preparing for Grad school auditions for 2005.
INDIA ANDERSON (visiting student) Graduated with a B.A. in vocal performance from the University of Oklahoma at Norman.
MATTHEW BURTON (Palmer HS) resides in Colorado Springs and works as a nursing assistant.
GRADUATING 1999
MAX FERGUSON (Brandeis University 2003; Wasson HS) graduated with honors from Brandeis University. He is currently working as an apprentice at the Actors Studio in Louisville, Kentucky. He is performing in their current production of “All My Sons”. Past productions included a unique project called “22 Stories High” under the direction on NYC based directors Mildred Ruis and Steven Sapp. He will relocate to NYC in fall 2005.
JOSH FRANKLIN (BFA Musical Theater, Webster University 2003; Doherty HS) Josh is now touring with a new show “On the Record” after completing a national tour of “Grease.” He lives in NYC and has been enjoying writing his own music. He will be releasing a CD within the next few months.
DANIEL HOLMES (BM Vocal Performance, Oberlin Conservatory 2003; Coronado HS) After completing his studies at Oberlin Conservatory Daniel moved to NYC and has been pursuing musical theater as well as working for Disney Entertainment. Daniel was the recipient of the Chaplin Scholarship awarded by legendary producer Hal Prince. KRISTEN LEICH (BM Vocal Performance, Oberlin Conservatory 2003; Air Academy HS) graduated from Oberlin Conservatory with a BM in vocal performance. She had performed the role of Baba the Turk in the Oberlin Opera Theater Departments production of “The Rake’s Progress” by Stravinsky. She then was hired by Cleveland Opera to sing the role of the Third Spirit in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. She also attended the American Vocal Academy in Philadelphia where she sung the role of Cherubino in spring 2004 and sung the role of Dorabella in fall 2004.
KELLYN MORSE (Voice Theater degree, CU Boulder 2003; Doherty HS) Kellyn is currently an events coordinator at the Denver Botanic Gardens. In addition to being an events coordinator she has done work as a costume assistant for “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and recently sang the National Anthem at a Colorado Rockies game on July 27th , 2005. She is getting married on October 1 and will be moving to Banff, Canada next January to work at the Banff Center for the Arts with her fiancé who is a recording engineer. Kellyn plans to have a career in events management for the performing arts.
JENNY ROBINSON (Boston University 2003, Air Academy HS) graduated from Boston University with a degree in Theater studies. She has since moved to NYC. She has recently completed an off-Broadway production of "The Greeks".
SARAH STONE (MM Northwestern University 2005; BM CU Boulder 2003; Cherry Creek HS) Sarah currently lives in Chicago, IL after her recent graduation from Northwestern University. She is working at a law firm as she prepares for fall/winter auditions for young artists programs in opera companies throughout the nation. Sarah has sang many operatic roles, including Alice Ford in Verdi’s “Falstaff,” Nella in “Gianni Schicci” by Puccini, and the First Lady in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” to name but a few. She was also a soloist in Vaughan William’s “Dona Nobis Pacem” with the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. She plans on working as an operatic singer. JENN SERACUSE (BFA Musical Theater, Webster University 2003, Cheyenne Mountain HS) has relocated to New York City after earning her actor’s equity card playing Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors” at the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theater, a regional theater between St. Louis and Kansas City. Other regional theaters Jenn has worked in include: Hope Repertory Theater and the Repertory Theater of St. Louis. Jenn has a role in a short film tentatively scheduled to shoot in the fall, but is also auditioning in NYC with the plan of eventually working on Broadway.

"I got a call driving home from LA today and Jamey booked a Feature Film called Rodeo Girl and begins shooting in March. Tippi Hedren has been cast as "Minnie", Khamani Griffin as "Gregg" (Daddy Day Care) & Rance Howard (Ron Howard's father) as "Sheriff Galloway" Jamey has been cast as "Madison", a young lady who dreams of becoming a Rodeo Girl".
